Music
New to using Music? Start here.
Have you heard this beautiful piece by French composer Paul de Senneville (1933-2023)?
Selection to enjoy: Mariage D’Amour, an extended version arranged by George Davidson.
Suggested use: For relaxation or deep thinking
Montessori
New to Montessori? Start here.
Mindset to strengthen: Concentration
How do you know if you’re engaging in Concentration or Distraction?
Here’s the difference between the two: Concentration is active, where nothing will happen if you don’t do something. Distraction is passive, where the outside action will occur even if you aren’t paying attention to it. You can concentrate on drawing a picture; you aren’t concentrating when watching a movie.
Suggestions to try:
At home, school, and work: Practice beautiful handwriting.
If you only print, try learning or improving your cursive.
If you can already write in cursive, make it even more legible and beautiful, or try learning calligraphy.
If you already know standard calligraphy, try illumination.
Give your brain and hand a new challenge.
No matter your area of expertise, Concentration is your most valuable skill
and enhances everything else you do.
